March, 2008 - Translation of Swiss File Knife announced

CtoJ announces the translation of the popular open-source tool Swiss File Knife.

 

The translation will be done with CtoJ's code generator and will be made publicly available as Java Swiss File Knife.

 

This translation will be done as show case for CtoJ technology. The project website will include detailed documentation on the efforts and challenges faced during this migration.

 

January, 2008 - CtoJ announces C++ to C# generator in Q1

CtoJ has announced to extend it's services from C++ to Java migration to C#.

 

The new release of CtoJ's Code Generator will allow CtoJ's clients to easily migrate from C++ to C#. The client will take advantage of the know-how that CtoJ has developed for automatic C++ to Java migration.

 

The C++ to C# migration will allow the automatic conversion to real managed code. With this step, CtoJ will offer legacy migration from C++ to both state of the art programming languages.

 

September, 2007 - CtoJ deploys proof of concept

CtoJ has announced the deployment of their proof of concept.

 

This deployment has shown the feasability and quality of the concept behind CtoJ's Code Generator. By following the CtoJ migration process the project runtime was drastically reduced and at the sametime increased predictability and quality of the results.

 

The project involved the migration of the complete backend of an internet payment system from C++ to Java. This mission critical project was deployed with a feature freeze timeframe of 1 week.
